SUPPORTING LOCAL MUSIC Acomb Music is keen to support the local live music scene and my adverts can always be found in York's best listings guide, We have sponsored a Battle Of The Bands contest to find York's best upcoming talent, and organised a charity gig for York Against Cancer. In May 2007 Acomb Music, Likemind Promotions, Discerning Images and Where In York helped raise £5000 fo the NET Patient Foundation with the generous help of 27 local bands and two venues. GIG PROMOTION AND CD SALES. Acomb Music is offering a promotion service. Bands are welcome to display their gig posters and flyers in my store at no cost.
Local bands can sell their CD's through Acomb Music. Following the sad demise of Track Records, local bands lost the one venue that was prepared to sell their recordings. Well, that service has been re-established at ACOMB MUSIC. All that is asked of the bands is that the CD be of a professional quality and production, no handwritten CD-R's, the band place my link and logo on their myspace and websites, and that they allow me to charge a 10% commission on each sale. Bands using this service will be listed on my Myspace pages. Fair Enough? GIG PHOTOGRAPHY Acomb Music works closely with local photographer Rob Scott, from Discerning Images. Some of his work can be seen on my homepage, more on his website. He also photographs weddings, portraits, charity events, corporate events, business promotion. All at very reasonable prices.
FLEXIBLE PAYMENT. Acomb Music offers an instalment payment programme for those more expensive items. You must be over 18 to enter into the contract, and it is subject to terms and conditions. BOOKS, DVDS, AND LEARNING AIDS Acomb Music stocks a very wide range of books and DVD's to help you play better. We also offer a book ordering service in addition to stocking over 700 books in store.
